Gavin cut his teeth performing in bars and restaurants in NYC. His dad and others helped him out when times were rough. Gavin, in turn, also spreads hope to long-term patients through Musicians on Call.
Music surrounded Gavin as he grew up in Upstate New York – it’s no wonder he’s devoted his life to it. Through his ups and downs, he had people helping him out. It’s through them Gavin learned to give back to others.
Gavin brings hope and music to patients in hospitals through an organization called Musicians on Call. Music offers a powerful impact to help people smile and heal so they feel connected and loved – even for a moment.
When people show you favor, and you see how that has affected your life, I think it makes you a more generous person down the line.
Gavin DeGraw is a multiplatinum-selling singer, performer, and songwriter.
